Description:

Technology connects families in remarkable ways—but it can also erode real connection if not managed with awareness and balance. This 90-minute workshop empowers parents to model healthy digital habits, strengthen family communication, and protect mental health in the digital age. Drawing on evidence from family systems theory and resilience research (Coyne et al., 2017; Santos et al., 2022; McCubbin & Patterson, 1983), participants will learn how to apply practical, family-centered strategies to create harmony and purpose in a technology-driven world.

Through guided reflection, small-group discussion, and interactive activities, participants will explore:

  • How digital overload and comparison culture influence family connection and mental health
  • Ways to model balanced technology use and emotional regulation for children and teens
  • How to use the Double ABCX Model to transform digital stress into opportunities for growth and closeness
  • Practical tools to rebuild connection through screen-free rituals and mindful media practices

This workshop combines storytelling, current research, and realistic strategies that strengthen both family connection and personal well-being. Parents will leave equipped to help their families thrive with greater balance, resilience, and purpose in a digital world.

Through engaging discussion, personal reflection, and interactive exercises, participants will explore:

  • Why loneliness has become a growing challenge for teens
  • How to foster trust and openness through vulnerability and consistent communication
  • How small daily rituals—like shared meals or bedtime check-ins—can protect emotional well-being
  • Strategies for strengthening connection during stressful times

This workshop combines evidence-based learning with heartfelt storytelling from real families. You will leave inspired, equipped, and confident in your ability to strengthen your family’s emotional health.
